Places to buy walking gear?

Someone in my team at work is leaving, so we've had a bit of a collection in the office. He's a keen walker, so I thought it would be nice to get a voucher for somewhere that sells that sort of stuff, but not sure where - would Wiggle be my best bet, or are there better places?

Depends how much you reckon you'll raise. For example if you'll only round up £30, going for the expensive places might not be ideal.

As Semple says it depends how much you think you might raise and what is near you. Go Outdoors do vouchers and they tend to be one of the cheaper places to buy as they have discounts for members (the card was only about £5 last time I looked).

I'd say Go Outdoors or Mountain Warehouse.

I think the shops like Cotswold/Blacks, or even branded shops - North Face/Regatta, tend to be on quite the high side.

But on the downside, if he's not already got a membership card, that's an extra £5 he's gotta spend - they price the "member" deals to make it not worth not paying the £5 member fee.
