So taking my lady up to Glasgow this Tuesday, thought I'd ask on here for good, affordable places to eat in the city centre (or maybe a short cab ride).

Been a good few years since I've been home, and was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations.

Also got a 2-4-1 paypal meal voucher code thingy, has anyone got one of these and used it yet?

Cheers in advance for replies :D

Got ourselves booked into the butchershop tomorrow evening, seems a nice place to unwind after a day on trains. Might try ubiquitous chip another night cash and time depending.

It's on Sauchiehall Street, but up Kelvingrove way. Do you know where the bowling green and tennis courts are at Kelvingrove park? It's opposite that.

Aye 1055 Sauchiehall street, 20 min walk from the busier end with all the bars.

Got back earlier from Glasgow, good trip! Thanks for the other options/ideas guys couldnt check my web as I was so busy when I was up there.

Butchershop (even though we went for cheapy Tuesday Frites £30 deal) treated us very well, we had a couple of drinks in the bar as the walk was much shorter than we anticipated. Either they forgot to bill me for the drinks or gaves us them on the house, should've ordered a more expensive drink!

Waiters were in good spirits, and treated us very well (I said that already, doh) even offered me to try the house wine before pouring, very unheard of, as when i worked in waiting, you were never really expected to do that with the house wine, as its expected to be cheapy.

Steaks were lush, like 2 inches thick, and the GFs very rare one, im sure if you stared at it still had a heart beat and a MOO echoed off of it.

Dessert we had, cheese platter, even gave us extra crackers/oat cakes as we were sharing. So aye good night, would recommend it to anyone wanting to show off good dining to anybody not from Glasgow :D

I found Slouch do monster burger if you have a tenner to spend on a cow roll, not relevant really just thought I'd drop it in there
