Planet Calypso(Entropia Universe)

Tried it a while back, and it ran like crap on my pc - 3.6ghz e8400 and an 5770 with 4gb of ram.

Pity, it looked interesting.
 
Wow, that is some shocking combat in that video. Towards the end of the video the narrator said that it's really hard to get started unless you spend some real life cash to buy some better guns and armour because quests don't give you in-game money. That seems a little rubbish to me. This just looks and sounds like a mahoosive time sink. Maybe it plays better than it looks in the video, but I won't be trying it.
 
You need to sit down and do the maths on any action before actually doing it.

I guess it's a slower paced, more thoughtful game, but that doesn't necessarily translate into fun.

You also don't need to spend money to get started, but it does accelerate getting to a more sustainable point (if there ever is one).
