Anyone catch this, I know its technically not photography but I thought we could have a discussion.

After getting into photography when I watch these types of programs I love the camera work they produce, if you consider that they have the luxury of not having to capture the moment in a split second, but rather a slightly longer time frame I guess that makes it easier.

Without waffeling, I just think if you paused the program, there would be some amazing "photographs" staring back at you.

trust me what they do is amazing and as amazing as and still work if not more! its an awesome program, and the quality is amazing. the way they plan their shots is awe inspiring.

the shot of the shark killing the seal was incredible. getting into position for a shot like that (and never knowing where and when) is hard work. the equipment is heavy, the platform is unstable and the predictablity is 0% so i take my hats off to them in ever respect.

cant wait for the next episode!

I was going to make a post on Sunday after the show but didn't get round to it.

The filming was simply stunning andt he heli cam produces amazing footage.

1km zoom lens, I'll take 10 :D I was never into these types of shows before photography but now I love them. Photography has totaly made me appreciate life, nature, everything like that. Planet Earth was simply amazing to watch. The slow-mo shark, the cute little polar bears, the penguins and that baby elephant that walked into a tree. Can't wait for the mountains episode on Sunday.

Must agree with the shark killing the seal, sad as it was....it was awesome to watch from a technical point of view, (god i hope someone knows what i meant by that lol)

Either you gave the shark a score out of 10, or you were looking for the best way to attack a seal from underwater ;) 8,000th post, had to be done :D
