Planetary Annihilation: Titans

It's on offer atm. Has anyone bought, does it add much to the game to get me playing again.

Was it worth it?

I got it as a free upgrade, I cant really say it adds a whole load to make you want to come back and play it. a few unites, for world gen stuff. I don't think it was all that exciting.

its more about super weapons, and I wish there were an option to turn them off.

BUT to be fair I haven't actually played : Planetary Annihilation very much recently

Since PA was never actually properly finished, I didnt bother with Titans

It's about 8 quid I think. I wanted it to be like total annihilation where the addon's added lots of units.

no I got it cheap and I had played PA to death and it didnt ignite me to play on more.

Couple of mates and I bought PA as we are huge SupComm: FA fans - played a few games, but it didn't really grab us in the same way. Far too simplified, and the planetary "superweapons" just seemed a bit gimmicky. Also some random & annoying "features" like having 2 planets on the same orbit in opposite directions, meaning suddenly that 5 planet solar system becomes a 3 planet one and if you were unlucky enough to place on one of those planets you lose the game thanks to luck.

We've gone back to SC:FA - might pick this up if it drops to <£4 at some point, but can't see it otherwise.

I also got it free but play it rarely with friends at LANs. Too many niggles with controls and stuff to really enjoy - particularly moving between planets. Some interesting units added (like that spaceship teleporter) but don't enjoy it half as much as I've enjoyed SupCom in the past!

Maybe I won't bother and just put more effort into Ashes of the Singularity
