Planning a country themed holiday - USA, May(ish) next year

I'm dragging my wife kicking and screaming to Defqon 1 for a day next year, and she's a massive country fan, so I'm looking to surprise her with an epic holiday next year.

Dates so far are fairly flexible, I'm thinking May-ish to avoid the school holidays.

I'll probably be renting a car, one thing that's a must so far is Dollywood for a few nights, but always looking for more suggestions.

If anyone has any ideas, please shout, I want this to be the trip of a lifetime.

Guess it depends on what you like doing. I haven't really done the typically "Country" places but have driven the Blue Ridge Parkway, been to Smoky Mountains N.P, Chatanooga and the Jack Daniels distillery in Tennasee. Charlston and Savannah are nice visits if you head that way. Would recommend them all. Actually went to Gatlinberg (think Blackpool in the mountains) which is a stones throw from Dollywood. I hadn't realised that it is actually a pretty decent theme park!

I am guessing you would want the other direction and places such as Nashville.
