Not sure if this is the right forum, but...
I am planning a new dual-proc workstation. After a bit of investigation I have focused on an Intel S5520SC motherboard with two Intel Xeon W5580 processors (socket 1366). I would like to ask:
1. Anyone used these before? Any obvious gotchas (apart from the price, that is!)? Any reasons to wait for something better/cheaper?
2. Is there a good way to air-cool these beasts *quietly* (I have no experience in liquid-cooling)? I am not planning on overclocking them, but they will be inside the same box as one big hot graphics card and they will be used heavily.
3. If liquid-cooling is the only way, which is the simplest way to make it work for a novice in these matters? Quietness is a must, I am going to sit besides the beast.
Thank you for your help.
