I've seen a few threads in here biggin these phones up so I'm inclined to opt for these, but I've never bought dedicated headphones before so what I want to make sure is; what is the exact length of the cable? And I read a review about the sound being tinny, is this the case?

Don't suppose you know what 2.9m is in feet do you? Thought I'd ask on here aswell because I wanted to about the 'tinniness' on the review. So it's perfectly alrite for game sound effects and over ts or vent?

Not sure about the 377s but I have the 367s and they sound good, although the higher frequencies are quite pronounced but with a little EQing they sound alright. Good for budget phones anyway (I got mine for £16 including P+P!)

Gaming wise these are hard to beat for the monies. Sound is fine, mic is good and I found them very comfortable.

I was using a pair for ages and still would be, if I had not stood on them and snapped them.

i had a set of these - they were ok for gaming and music actually

i then moved to logitech g35s which were arguably not much better than the plantronics

now i use PC350 senns so there is a lot of comparisons i could make.

the plantronics are a great value purchase.

I have a pair for gaming if I need to use a mic (use senns normally when I'm not on voice) the first week I found them very uncomfortable - felt like they were cutting off the blood supply to my head - leaving them over a box slightly larger than my head loosened them up a bit and they were comfortable enough after a week of that.

Sound quality is ok - mid-range which is most important to gaming was well defined but high end is indistinct and lacking which makes them a little dissapointing for music, while theres plenty of "bass" its a booming kinda bass rather than a more satisfying crunchy bass.

Gah I hate the current setup I have-to-have in my room because of the lack of space...My 377's dont reach so I've gotta now go and see if I have an extension, I wish life could be much simpler lol. On a positive note, I did try them out on mumble yesterday and what a buy, very pleased with them :)

For the price they're pretty difficult to beat - I love mine and find them fine for music, though I suspect if I was more into my music and invested in a decent sound card I'd probably want to shell out the extra for some senn's.

For day to day gaming, TS/vent etc I'm very happy with them.
