Plants + Frost?

Ok,

My parents have gone away for a week and left me in charge of the house. The greenhouse door was left open last night and it was quite cold. Today all the plants look completely dead (brown crispy leaves). Could this have been a result of leaving the door open, or would they have had to have been like this already (I dont know what they looked like before).

lol. I think they must have been like it already, cos I cant see how one night could make all the leaves look so dead. Maybe its just too early in spring for them to get their new leaves?

Anyone know any better?

. Can they recover? How much warmer would a greenhouse be if the door was closed anyway?

There is no heater. I'm just thinking maybe greenhouses are good enough to prevent frost inside (like a garage is).

Surely it cant stay humid in a freezing cold night though? With no sun?
