Plasma Brackets

Hi there,

I have a Panasonic Viera TX-P42X10 plasma and bought a wall mounted corner bracket from ebay and received it today, so I put it up and I was horrifed because the arm joint was bent, literally, check these images out

Can anyone recommend a bang for buck bracket which will hold my 42" plasma which is not going to cost me the earth?

Tbh, I wouldn't have ever trusted my panny to a cheap (bay) sourced bracket - ever.

Can you be more specific on bang for buck? What's your budget?

The eBay bracket I have is fine. It's a proper wall-mounted tilting version, and cost all of about £25.

It came with all the mounting hardware, and once up, withstood my weight (100kg) hanging from it.

The bracket the OP has does look rather flimsy though - I imagine you'll have to spend more on a bracket of that type than the wall mounted type to get something half decent.
 
I bought something similar from the bay recently to get my Pioneer plasma on the wall - as a stop gap until a projector... :)


As long as it's firmly fixed on the wall all it not lost, the five allen bolts in the second pic can be undone and then the whole mounting plate tilted/adjusted so it's level.

I used some stand off mounts on the TV brackets so I could still adjust the bolts with the TV in situ, which seemed to be the most stress free option :cool:
 
I bought the MF-3252CBR corner bracket from www.m-formonline.co.uk for mounting a 42" Panny G10. That thing is seriously well built! Once the TV was on it I was still able to have it taking all my weight - didn't move a millimetre! :cool:

Would definitely recommend it.
 
I bought one from Amazon recently to mount my Panny 50G10, has 15 degree tilt..perfect really, will suit 32-60inch tvs i recall. was 25-30 bucks.
