plasma vs lcd

confused as to which is better,lcd or plasma.also what hdtv,hdmi are.i am looking to upgrade in the near future and want to understand what to look for.i will be looking at a denon 1905av and speakers,already have and lg 7500 dvdr,full pc setup,am looking for graet picture and sound,and would like to be futureproof for awhile lol,ps i have ntl cable tv.hope you techies can help

Have a look at avforums there is a section on the pro's and con's of plasma's and lcd's and also a huge number of posts on whats good and whats not. It all depends on how much you are willing to pay. After a lot of research and comparisons of the two in local retailers I eventually went for a Pioneer 436XDE. In my opinion a sexy and highly rated Plasma.

Another good source of info is www.homecinemachoice.com There's plenty of articles on plasma's and lcd's aswell as reviews. The best piece of advice I can give you is do some research, maybe try a local specialist (If there is one near, I am lucky there is a place near me where I actually ended up buying my TV from.) where they should be able to demo their range of TV's. You could also take your favourite dvd if you want, and don't be affraid to ask. I spent months deciding on my final choice.
