Hi guys, I'm looking to repair a hole where drilling the wall to attach a curtain bracket went wrong. Basically the area to repair is about 10cm diameter max, and probably about 1cm depth for most of it apart from the drilled hole itself.

I have tried repairing it before and it did hold the bracket, but around the edges the filler started to raise from the existing original plaster just as I put the final turns in of the fixings/screws.

So, as I am sorting the room out before the new carpet goes down, I am going to repair it again. At the moment I have pulled all the loose new plaster out and its almost back to how it was when I first messed it up.

Any ideas on what sort of filler I should use to do a better job? Also is there anything I should do to get a better key to the existing plaster?

Cheers
