Hey all,

Will be chasing out a dot and dab wall ready for wall mounting my TV, and require some advise from the pros.

Seeing as the chase is going to be 50mm wide would it be advisable to use some form of filler, or would it be easier to get a plasterer in to fill it ?

Obviously I want the end result to look as it does now (no obvious texture difference), hence the suggestion of filler :p

Has anyone had any experience doing this? I've put up many TVs as part of an old job, but never had to chase the wall (always used a wire to fish the cables) so being dot and dab it's bloody foiled that plan!

Suggestions welcome.

I'd plaster it myself. you can now get ready made plaster from diy shops. I used this to fill in the chasing holes I made. cameout pefect. its easier to sand and paint over then pollyfila which I find is only useful for very small jobs.
