Plastic smell?

I have recently put together a new system with only a new board cpu and ram. I have noticed the smell of warm plastic/rubber from the room that it sits in although the temperatures are (idle)37c-54c(full load) cpu. overall my case says it's about 120F. I know that's nowhere near enough to melt plastic. My board is an evga x 58 with ci7 920 @3.8ghz stable with coolermaster v8. 600w nzxt psu, (which I think I may be overworking and will be my next upgrade what do you all think?) gtx 285. My HD temps are 30-32c. Trying to think of any other info that may be of some use. My case is a Apevia x-cruiser.

MY question is, is the smell normal coming from a new board? I think I remember my last set up doing the same but is has been too long. Or do you think the smell may be coming from the psu? And is having a 600w psu pushing all of this a fire hazzard? I get paranoid leaving this running when I'm asleep or not home because of this. I have only had this set up for about 3 days.

Its not a new monitor though it's not that old and it the smell wasn't there before. It's not a fire type of smell because it doesn't actually smell like anything burning. Just heating up I guess. I read somewhere that a new motherboard puts off a smell so I wasn't sure if that was it.

600W is well enough for that.
But it's entirely other question is that NZXT 600W PSU or some generic overrated junk.

Can't you shut it down for night/while away from home until you see does smell go away in few more days or continue?
