Plastic washers for GPU water block important?

Finished off my build, everything seems to work well enough, but then I noticed I forgot to put the little plastic washers on when mounting the water block on the GPU. Do these matter? I'm thinking the only thing they can do is add a little more mounting pressure or needed for insulation for some reason.

Alongside all the things mentioned, the tolerances on clearance between the block and some of the components will be very very fine. You'd hope not so close as the depth of a little plastic washer, but you never know!

Its best to use them, however on a GPU generally they are fine without as there isnt much traces around the screws to damage, so long as you tighten them properly and dont go mad when you tightened the screws. Chances are the original cooler didnt use washers either.

They are generally there to protect the pcb, so the screw head doesnt dig into the pcb and cause a short, or damage traces. Motherboards etc have traces very close to the block mounting standoffs which can easily be damaged without plastic washers.

+1 on them potentially providing clearance for the screws, but if you've powered up and everything's fine then it's nothing to worry about if they're not there.
