I need some "22mm inside diameter" plasticizer free tubing to go from the rad to the pump for a custom water cooler I'm building.
No problem with the tubing inside the PC as Mayhems ultra clear will do nicely :)

Ive thought of EPDM rubber radiator hose for automotive purposes or food grade 22mm PVC tube.
Are they plasticizer free that is the question.

Any idea's

We can do it no problem how ever its £600 for a single 30 meter sample. This does not include VAT + Delivery. It may sound expensive but you are talking about full strip down and clean down and test runs to get pressure, temp and extraction speed testing. This all takes at least 1/2 a day plus materials.

I work for a tube manufacturer, can find out if we do something suitable, might have some offcuts sat about. If so, how much do you need?

Food grade tubing is, as will be medical grade. I used to use Tygon.. 2475 I think back in the day which was shiny clear and really good. As for the black automotive style tubing Tygon Norprene is very good, used that in my last build. Having said that you can just use actual automotive tubing like ATF/PS tubing as they are quite overspecified for a PC cooling loop (as you would expect for something carrying high temperature fluid that depends on purity).

:D Only want half a meter. £600 is a little excessive.
On another note.... You say you can do it, does this mean you manufacture your own? Are there any plans to sell 7/16 ID tube in the future ? Just strange you dont sell this common size.

Just google "Tygon E3603"

Thanks

That's very kind....thanks, 1/2 a metre is all that is needed.

Seems most of the stuff we make wouldn't be suitable and the stuff that would, we buy in from a supplier instead. Id say auto coolant tubing would be grand though.

Yes £600 is excessive but normal and i cringe every time i do a demo run (cringe or cry). Yes we do make our own in the UK. The plastic manufacturer is a door step from me and the extrusion company is a 5 min drive down the road (all tubing we sell is bispoke to us and we are the only company in the world who make it, Swiftech use it in there AIO's). We do not make 7/16 ID as it is not a common size and is one of the worst sellers in the industry. This was found speaking to all our re sellers and distro and is not worth doing. When we produce tubing we do it in 15,000 to 150,000 meter batch runs and shifting that much of a size that doesn't sell well is a bad thing.

When it comes to size and colour we are not like some water cooling companies who release so much stuff that doesn't sell and dump it on our distro's or re sellers. We care about all our consumers and would like to provide you with the best products we can that sell and not sit on the shelf for years to come.

7/16 was popular once upon a time, but I am old school and still use 1/2" barbs which 7/16 tube fits over nice and tightly without the need for clamps of any kind.

Never mind, I'll use your 19/13 ultra clear in the run to the PC and give EK dura clear 7/16 a try inside the case, it claims to be plasticizer free.
Do you know if the EK duraclear is OK with XT-1 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/mayhems-xt-1-250ml-clear-coolant-wc-084-mh.html

DuraClear failed with XT1 Standard but passed with XT-1 Nuke (diffrent make up).

I would be a bit hesitant about using "lab grade" Tygon tubing as it's basically aimed for hooking up bunsen burners.

One of the main reasons Tygon eventually lost their Rolls Royce grade reputation among water coolers is because retailers started pushing the cheaper lab grade stuff on users who then got disappointed when it didn't perform as well as the medical/food grade tubing they had seen other people use in builds.
