Plastidip any good?

It's pretty good mate, but can take a bit of getting used to using it. If you going over the black, with blue, I'd make sure the prep was perfect and use a good primmer, I'd even consider using their own. And between coats of primmer give a light sand with fine wet and dry. When it comes to the Plastidip very very thin coats, and don't sand in-between, it will just strip off the paint. If you just take your time it should work out well, it just takes patience, and good prep, you can't go wrong then.

Hi!

Plastidip is great, very easy to use and easy to peel off. I've used it on my case and the finish is spot on.

Plasti Dip is good.

No need for normal primer. They do a primer in plastidip.

My car is being completely painted in plastidip on the 21st ;)

Jay85 is the block over red with no primer? if it is that very good coverage

No Primer, just cleaned it before I started spraying. I did what I would normally do with a spray can of paint. Spray lightly first to create a thin mist over the area and for the next few layers to adhere to, slowly building it up. I think I put about 7 - 8 layers on in total.

Off topic, but how does it look?

Thinking of doing it myself on one of my Corrado's as the paint and laq are terrible!

its not a gloss finish, on the plastic parts on my H440 it looks a good as stock parts. how ever i would not doo a full case. its only £30 to get it powder coated

I'm trying to replicate exactly what jay85 did but am a complete novice. Do I need anything other than a regular black plastidip spray can? How did he manage to get it the same shade of black as the rest of the case?
