Platform upgrade or GPU

Yea I do need to upgrade my cpu, mobo and ram.

As for selling my parts.... I could do... but was thinking of giving it to my sister as she badly needs a new computer. She is still running a SINGLE core P4 @ 2.6Ghz.... :o

No point going with a 2500k bundle now considering IB is only months away.

Im sure my 5870 still has at least a good year in it of gaming.

Maybe Far Cry 3 will change my mind, but we will see.

Well, I was in the exact same shoe...was planning on just grabbing a 2nd hand i3 2100/i3 2120 for under £70 as a stop gap and wait for IvyBridge, but managed to get a i5 2500K for £130 delivered off the bay on auction (still waiting for delivery though, as I only bought it on the 23rd and it is chrismas). Granted IB would definitely be better, but it is months away from launch, and more likely gonna be at at least £180-£200 range, not £130, which is why I gone for the i5 2500K.

Hope there's no problem with it...but should be fine considering the seller got 100% feedback and sold tonnes of i5 2500K.
