I would agree with all of those. I suppose I have always been worried about being rubbish and it took a few parkruns etc for me to realise that it didnt really matter.
I am happy now to just work at improving things like breathing etc. rather than out and out speed.
Weight loss is also something that would make life a shedload easier. Currently around 17.5 stone (height: 6ft 2in) so just losing some of that will make a difference I am sure.

It was fine, I took it as a sign to rest and didn't get worked up about it. Got out today for a 45 min workout, 10 min warm up, 12x1min fartlek with 1 min cool downs and another 10 min cool down.
