play fable 2 without disc ?

A friend of mine is able to play fable 2 without the disc in the drive *installed to HDD* and when i tried this it just says please insert disc, now we both have the same 360 250GB slim so im quite confused, anyone got any info on this ?

By the sounds of it his is hacked, and yours isn't. He possibly has a hacked console that allows him to save his games to disc, either that or he has a lucky bug, but either way yours is the way it should be.
Its a piracy prevention method.

Are you sure he's not running the downloaded version of the game?

Yep pretty sure as once he installed it he lent me the game, and his console is not hacked as ive just asked, so yeah it could be a lucky bug

Sounds like he jumped on Microsoft's messup with the free Fable 2 so he doesn't have to use the disc anymore.
