Anyone wanna play some team based multiplayer games for cash prizes??

http://www.prizefight.co.uk

Sorry if this has already been posted. It does look as though it could be quite good if it takes off. Check it out......

Cheers, del.

P.S - Only CS:Source, HL2 deathmatch and BF2 supported at the moment, but i guess there will be more.

Ok - Firstly, no this isnt my company! Secondly, the way it works (as far as i can tell, i havent signed up for it yet) is - There are daily schedules for games. Say you wanna play BF2, you pay (i think) £3 to join and then you are put into teams. The game lasts 40 mins and the winning team splits the pot, thats it. In the case of HL2 deathmatch, the top 3 positions split the pot and similarly with CS: Source. Apparently the more you play the more stats they have for you and the more even teams can be produced making it a lot fairer. So you wont be put in a xxxx team against a good team.

dEl_fUEGo, is this "play games for cash" thing your company or something?

You spam freak

My company? I wish lol! It'd probably make me more money in the long term if it was but alas, no it isnt. I simply thought that it might be something fellow gamers may be interested in and this is after all the pc games section, i know the forum rules and i wouldnt use them to promote my own company. That would be as stupid as calling someone with 42 posts in nearly a year and a half a 'spam freak'. Lool.

Again denic2k6, thanks for bumping the thread! If you feel the need to retaliate to this post in a non constructive childish way, DO IT VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE, then you can get as personal as you want. I expect that you wont though, seeing as you're so close to getting into the Members Market..... 'Spam freak' really.... kiddies these days huh.........

I apologise to anyone else reading this post/thread for my tone....but i must say that i did enjoy it ;)

The pair of you calm down.

This has been posted at least once before. It's a good idea, but you've always got the issue of cheating with online gaming, and nomatter how good the anti-cheat is. In theory, it's not that bad a way of making money, having read how the winning team splits the pot, it seems that it might work. But I would always be wary of cheaters, and thus I'd never use it.

My opinion anyway.

Oh, and private messages don't work anyway.

Ive seen this and posted it up elsewhere as it appeared to require more players.

Another thing is they give you 5 pounds to 'bet' when you sign up, obviously 18 years of age required.
You only get a decent prize if you come first, 3rd place usually just get their money back or so I read as I havent tried out my 5 quid yet.

CSS lags for me and I cant fix it choking all the time.

BF2 games are tiny and Iam a chopper hoe though I do ok on the ground

Deathmatch, argh & lag again

Still worth a laugh I guess :)

They have some ex cheater hack creator to oversee games apparently and also the games are skill matched or attempt to be

And an opinion is something we are all entitled to. Thanks for yours DaveyD. Again i apologise for starting a new thread on an old topic.

I was hoping that someone who has played through that sites system would post but i guess this kind of idea, however good it may be, will always alert skeptisism, which is a good thing to have when paying money is concerned and alas will probably never take off like it could. I hear what you're saying about cheaters, heck i see Drogba handball it every week :D so in any kind of game you are right to be wary, unless they are on your team which could be beneficial to you ;) I dont see this as a way of making money (cant see the pot ever being big enough for any substantial win) but as a way of adding a new dynamic to existing gameplay, its a shame there are no games that excite me or that i play on their list. If it did take off i wonder if it would be like poker - you never feel like playing the game unless it's for cash!

(off topic)Shame about the private messages, whoever decided that made a poor choice in my opinion and ultimately it will encourage public squabbling, which i understand and accept is boring to read.

Didnt know about the free £5, thanks for sharing that. Yes, i agree, until there are more games and a large enough base of players it'll be a slow starter. Shame really, as i much prefere playing with over 18's and this idea seems about the most 'fun' that i've seen yet, plus a small win to boot isn't bad, i wouldnt say no.
