play station 3 freezing?

My play station keeps freezing when im playing COD, it only lets me play 4 maps also.

My niece plays toy story and it freezes with that also, i'm thinking it's the mobo thats knackered any suggestions?

Erm, sorry this post will be of no help - maybe buy a new PS3? Sounds like its on its way out.

My phat was freezing every now and again upon boot, but after resetting everything via safe mode it's been absolutely fine. Worth a pop! Other than that as previously suggested just return the bad boy, probs save any potential heartache.
