Playback Question Xbox Elite & PS3

Is this correct

Play a dvd today on Xbox 360 Elite it displays 1920 x 1080i @ 60Hz

Playing same dvd on PS3 display 1920 x 1080i @ 50Hz

Any reason why PS3 display 50Hz ?

wrong...both do 60...depends on your tv

Nomal dvd`s still play even when upscaling options are full on PS3 @ 50Hz oh well :confused:

, i am playing on sammy 26 via HDMI

All blu ray play @ 60Hz so do PS3 games

But when playing normal dvd on xbox elite normal they play @ 60Hz ?

Are you playing NTSC discs?

If not, you won't get 60Hz.

No just normal pal dvd`s on PS3

Same normal pal dvd`s on Xbox Elite but plays @ 60 Hz

The PS3 also supports 1920x1080@24Hz, since the last firmware revision. If your tv supports 24fps. The truest way to watch a movie is at 24fps.

I think this is only with BD titles though, havnt or dont use my PS3 to play DVDs
