I've heard that some people play games across 2 monitors but I haven't seen any games that support 8:3 or 32:9 aspect ratios, same for movies so surely your going to get really bad stretching defeating the point in it?

i think some games actually let you play on 2 monitors, but don't quote me on it.. like you can have a map on one screen and play on the other screen... i have 2 monitors, and i can't play on two screens, it just doesn't work...

Games like MS Flight Sim do in that you can have main view on one and dials and readouts on the other.
You could do it with some FPS games, as long as they allow you to change the field of view angle, and set manual resolution. It would just annoy me to have the monitor border in the middle of the screen where crosshair is.
Most people with 2 monitors just use one for the game and the other for things like MSN/Xfire/web browser.

OT however,

How / what program lets you have say msn on one screen and playing a game on the other?

I will have the acer 19" ws and a 15" crt for msn or something...

Is it Ultramon? Thanks, also can I have the dual screen off whilst doing normal things, ando nly have dual screen when gaming?

yeah its Ultramon, ive set mine to have a hot key to turning the 2nd monitor on and off, cant live without 2 TFTs now, hate using someones PC with just 1 monitor :(
