Playing a video on 2nd monitor while gaming is super laggy ! any advice please?

before i switched to windows 10 from 7 i played games on my main screen and watched tube or a movie on my 2nd monitor now no matter what player i use the movie or website for tube turns into a laggy mess if anyones got any info i would be very grateful please!
