Playing a video on loop?

I have put together a short video for a family member on his Mac using imovie.

He wants to have a video playing on loop during party (projected on a wall.)

As of yet I can't find an easy way to do this (The closest being to use Video Lan Codec player and add the quicktime file to the playlist over and over (but a 5 min video is going to have to be added a lot of times to make it loop throughout an evening.)

Anyone got any better ideas?

Select all rather than basic at the bottom left in VLC preferences and you will see under Playlist repeat current item.
