was out last night and wanted to practise a nice panning a car type shot, didn't try that hard so only came back with stuff like this

what do you reckon? kinda cool or just trash? I think I wanna get some nice b+w capturing the city type shots, anything similar to try out?

And the first time I tried this 'effect' too:

I like them.

However:

1) This is a nice shot, for some reason, I could look at this all day! Only problem is its a bit noisey! What ISO rating did you use? If so, try cranking it down a little and see if you get the same results?!

2) Nice idea, the effect is good, but I don't really understand how you've done it!

You can see where the cars headlights have paned right round into the cameras view, this is shown by the rings round the headlights. IMO this detracts from the image.

Overall, very good first attempt! :)

Just playing around so accidentaly left the iso on 1600! I want to kind of catch the car moving but not moving, kinda abstract, a little bit fish eye/panning stlye too, saw an example here a while ago of someones NY holiday snaps and they had a cool 90 degree pan of a taxi taking a corner, I'm thinking capturing the movement sorta thing? meh, experimenting!
