Playing Dead Space for the first time...

... and loving it so far. I played Dead Space 2 a few years ago and noticed all 3 are available via Origin Access that I am subscribing to.

I spent my first chunk of credits on an upgraded suit as I've been coping alright with the plasma cutter but what secondary weapon would you recommend buying first?

The line cutter, later on the mine gun thing aswell

Dont ever sell the plasma cutter, upgrade it all the way before anything else.

Envy you playing it for the first time, absoutly fantastic game

Cool, thanks. I've just found schematics for the pulse rifle ammo - is it worth buying at the early stage of the game?

For DS2 but this is still one of my favourite game trailers ever, its story telling and narration are fantastic.

I found the pulse rifle weak and pointless uses to much ammo to fast.

Concentrate on plasma cutter. Carry a mix of 50/50 ammo healthkits, use the smaller ones first and drop the smaller ones if you find bigger ones but cant carry.

Also keep your safe storage stocked with all spare ammo and kits you can find. Will Need in later levels assuming not playing easy

Dead Space is one of my favourite games, it's just excellent. Brilliant attention to detail and superb atmosphere. The sequels really paled in comparison though.

Long time since I played them, but I found the actual plot of 1 and 2 a bit hard to follow, and i'd even watched the animated movie

I heard 3 was a disappointment but I really enjoyed 2 - I thought the second was well received was it not?

Incredible game. I enjoyed the second too but never really got into the third. The first game in particular blows any of that Outlast kind of crap out the water. It really shows that you can instill terror even with weapons.

If you're playing on PC be sure to turn VSync off in game and enable manually through your GPU settings. Terrible mouse lag otherwise.
