Ok this will probably sound like a retarded question to most people, but how do you play games in 3D.

I think I'm set up, I have a 120hz 3D monitor and some active glasses I got with my Samsung TV, also a 3D GPU (CF7970's).

So how do I play games such as Tomb Raider/Metro/Crysis3/Whatever in 3D?

Im not answering the OP, but this is something ive recently become interested in as well. Is it worth the added expense? near as I can figure you need the 120mhz screen, the transmitter to sync the glasses and also the glasses. I presume you dont need an Nvidia card to use the nvidia 3d solution?

General impressions of people playing in 3D? I would be interested in WoW and FPSs.

I don't know how to do it as I have never tried but I know some monitors only run 3D with Nvidia cards.

What monitor do you have?

Hmm it is actually possible with the pc running through your 3d samsung tv.
My brother recently got a samsung f8000 with active glasses and managed to run a few things in 3d mode.
He too has cf 7970s.
With a tv though it had to run games at 30fps and we didnt like that at all.

As a user of 3D Vision for 12 months, I am finding fewer and fewer game natively supporting it. Square Enix games tend to, but most others, you have to use HelixMod.

Some games work better than others, and some you can take it or leave it. Arkham City was immense in 3D, but I find TR, in combination with the jumpy camera, makes me go green after a couple of mins and I want to puke.

The new RE is good in 3D.

As above, less and less support for the 'proper' Nvision stuff. I sold mine in the end, the novelty finally wore off. That's not to say it's bad, Battlefield 3 campaign in 3D on ultra settings is eye candy to behold! Once your eyes adjust you can crank the depth right up.

It just came to the point where eventually I couldn't be bothered to put the glasses on and set it up for newer games.

Will have to try it.

Half the problem is you need such an expensive rig to run it. And if its not 3d vision ready, or has a helix mod, you end up going bog eyed after a couple of mins. When they figure out a way of doing it that doesnt need two cards and glasses, it will work.

Did you have any issues with the crosshair in the new RE game in 3D?
