Hey guys,

I’ve got my TV wired up to my pc via a regular vga cable (which still looks great btw!) and I use it sometimes as my monitors ‘overflow’ and for viewing artwork/slideshows at a distance etc.

But now I’d really like to start using it for gaming :D

I’ve got dual view or whatever setup through the ati software – I have a 512 MB 2900xt, but my monitor is setup as the primary display and my icons are right where I want them. Is there anyway I can play games through my tv without have to set that as the primary display? I don’t really want to do that because my 22” monitor has a much higher res :o

Are there any other settings I can tinker with in the ati software – I don’t really want to try anything until I know roughly what I’m supposed to be doing…

Cheers,

SW.

Edit: Is it also worth me getting a dvi to hdmi cable to use between my pc and tv – would I notice that much difference? The picture looks great as it is now ;)

I dont believe there is i used to just right click go in to propertys change to primary play game then when done do it in reverse. i did have the res. set up differently on both screens

I’ve just ordered a hdmi to dvi cable in anticipation of the games I’ll be enjoying over the festive period on my hd tv :D

I’ve still not looked into how I’m actually going to go about doing it yet tho… Are’t these hdmi/dvi cables sort of like usb – plug n’ play etc?

What sort of setting up am I going to have to do through my graphics card?

Cheers,

SW.
