Playing high quality 4160p Movies on a 4k monitor ?

980Ti graphics card and 4160p monitor yet having no luck playing 4k movies in good quality. Windows media player says no go. MPC-HC player plays the movies full screen yet there is tearing and grain,

What is the best player in this situ ?

I'm confused (not difficult).

Thread title says 4160p movies and a 4K monitor but your post says 4160p monitor and 4K movies?

Sorry 2160p monitor and movies.

I'll add that playing from a hard drive with true minimum 130 Mbytes per second so not a hard drive issue.
