I already own and completed it on xbox, but ive decided to get it on pc. Im really enjoying it more, it seems really welldone on the pc aswell, not a crappy console port. Graphically quite a bit better, i turned off the film grain and its made the game look quite a bit better.

Yeah, I was not too keen on the film grain either. I've played it on the PC (though yet to complete) and seen it played on an xbox 360 and I found the same as you, graphics better when you turn everything up, the combat pause/select function helps and some of the information screens are done better.

It was on my "Summer Games" list to play, funnily enough, over the summer. Never got round to it and still have it installed. Will play some day though.

Don't stone me but I only have the 360 version.

However relating to film grain, when I first had the game it was turned on and I couldn't see it at all.

But after having laser surgery I thought something was wrong with my TV! Quickly worked out what was wrong and turned it off!

It's a superb game, easily one of my favourite all times. Story line was really immersive.

Played it through a few times because of the different classes available.

ive installed the dl "bring down the sky" i think i wont get to play that until later in the game. Is it really 90 miutes gameplay thats really good for free patch.

Dragging this back up a bit, but I'm playing this through at the moment.

"Bring down the sky" took about a couple of hours to get through, I attempted it at about lvl35ish and pretty much walked most of it. the Story is OK, it's not up the main story line in the full game, but it's similar in feel to the bigger side quests. Some of the combat was challenging, which to be honest makes a refreshing change.

As to how good the game is, it's pretty good. It seems a little disjointed in places, pursuing the side quests really makes the main quest lose impetus. I'm getting a bit fed up with ident-i-kit stations to explore in the sides too. Last night I jumped back onto the main plot, and that is a lot better. I'm mostly enjoying the game but I might have to ignore a few sides, or I'll stop playing.

I finished the game the other day, and I agree the main plotline is very good, but the sidequests, especially the random planet drops/roam around in mako/shoot some peeps in generic base bits are a bit tedious. As such I had about 20 or so sidequests i'd not touched when I completed the game.

I've just restarted again using my beefed up character and installed the 'Bringing Down the Sky' pack, so going to have a go at that tonnight. When can I start the BDtS quest? Soon as I leave the station after becoming a Spectre?

I bought this a short while back, and apparently you can replay it because it goes onto different 'tracks', according to the info I have.

The problem is that there's such an incredible amount of dialogue that I really don't feel like wading through again.

Is there a way to avoid this?

Just press space to skip what they are saying.
