ive been playing new world on my 5600x b550-f strix board and 2070 super with corsair (not amd optimized) lpx 3200mhz 16gb 2x8gb ddr4 and the memory usage in the game is on 15050 in citites and the game keeps sticking slightly. i have all the gfx settings on highest and now have the fps capped in game at 60fps and vsynch off which has made a slight improvement.
im wondering if the problem is because the game is using a lot of my ram and would it be worth buying the patriot black out series 3600mhz 32gb 2x16gb ddr4 similiar specs to this one https://www.overclockers.co.uk/patr...dual-channel-kit-pvs432g360c8k-my-107-pa.html
i have checked my boards compatible memory list and it says that one and the black out series will be fine with xmp enabled (i guess)
thanx guys

In theory if you're maxing out most of your memory you could be hitting paging issues and writing to disk (which is slow) causing the 'sticking'. In really heavily populated zones you can get issues where there's too much to process on the CPU causing a bit of sticking but it's rarely an issue.

I've not seen New World pull more than 7800mb after teleporting around zones and then going back to a mildly busy Everfall. That's with graphics set to high on 2560x1440 and using 32Gb of RAM

Try resetting your settings and getting to the bottom of why it's utilising so much memory.

friend was on around 13400 usage with 5800x and 3070ti and 2x16gb 32gb 3600mhz..im going to get some ddr4 3600mhz 2x16gb 32gb and see if it help
