Playing PC games on TV - best way to link.

I know there are various ways to stream to TVs without actually needing a vga-esque cable solution via wifi/Ethernet.

To make this practical it would need to be over WiFi. If this isn't viable iIl will just plug a hdmi to mini dp in.

Options and best solution?

Wifi isn't the best option as it can produce more lag than if it was hard wired.

I've heard that the Steam Link, when connected by Ethernet, is actually quite good

If it's ethernet all the way then probably just use dp cable. As this is for a laptop Ethernet is as much hassle as DP.

Yeah lag was something I thought might be a problem over wifi

Personally I just use hdmi cable, zero hassle. Logitech K400 is brilliant for couch use, writing this post with it while lying on a sofa

I just use a Steam Link. Works really well for what I want, plays games from my PC no problem. Have an old Xbox 360 controller plugged into it.
