Playing SF2 online problem?

Hi people, ive not had this game long and i thought id try it online!
Anyways does anyone else experience shocking lag on this game? i didnt think i was playing the game at first because it takes a second or 2 for your fighter to respond?
Or is it just me?

Good! so its not just me then!
Ive only played twice because its so bad!
Someone was M. Bison and just kept using the thing where he flies across the screen on fire (if that makes sense) its the only move he did! cheating swine!
