Playing through Final Fantasy X

I played this years about 5 years ago but never finished it. Currently have the urge to play through and finish it this time and do it all properly.

I'm wondering about blitzball though. Is it worth hammering early on for decent prizes?

I've just got to the high road and now have the option of playing blitzball from the save sphere.

Not really unless there's a triple AP item that you can get from it as a reward when you go to play, otherwise wouldn't bother until later in the game when you're able to get Wakka's Ultimate sigil from it. I think you can get some of his OD's from it also, but I can't remember for sure.

I didn't bother with Blitzball on my recent rerun of FFX. The monster arena sidequest gives awesome prizes anyway.

Most powerful overdrive in the game is Wakkas attack reels, and they're earned playing Blitzball.
