Playing video files and there stuttering?

I am trying to watch some vid files. I open them in windows media player and they work fine and the sounds fine but the picture is small so i have to double click to get full screen. But what its full screen it doesnt play properly, it stutters.

The properties of the files say there XVID video conpression. I have XVID codex installed so cant see and reason why it doesnt work.


Any ideas?

I personally found changing the AGP apature size to 256mb helped cure my stuttering from within the BIOS.

Its an old pc with onboard intell graphics!
