Playing wav on Winamp?

Can this be done? When I downloaded it, it sounded like it would but I'm finding it won't and seems to be no option to? The reason I want it to is because win-media has an annoying problem whereby if you move the slider whilst it's playing the volume on the program jumps to full! Also Winamp playlists and EQ can be useful. Any ideas? Heres a screenshot of my options page:

Yes Winamp can play a whole range of different sound media file formats. Looks like your missing a hell of a lot of file associations in that screenshot. Might I suggest you uninstall and reinstall Winamp again? And when you do, just check all the tick boxes in the installation process just incase.

Yeap, you're missing quite a few. It is also possible that there's something else installed that has latched onto most other file formats.
