That was about 2 minutes after switch on, fingers would stick to the frost if you touch it so I am guessing it was very cold... No thermometer to hand unfortunatly.

Got myself a 320watt tec and a decent psu to drive it... Had my watercooling apart anyway for my rebuild and thought I would give it a go... Amazed how it turned out, but wont be using it on my pc... Its kicks out too much heat for my pc thats on most of the day and how much water came from that small amount of frost! Worring if you dont insulate properly..

Always fun to play with something new Keep eyes open on the MM as these bits will appear there sometime soon.

Sorry, should explain.

I have a watercooling loop cooling the hot side of the peltier, and an alpha pal8045 heatsink on the cold side, clamped tight for good heat transfer... Its a way of benchtesting a peltier without having to insulate up a motherboard.

The Alpha was like that after about 2 minutes, VERY cold Frost formed naturally, it was so cold it was causing condensation which was turning into ice almost instantly, hence the frost.
Was going to pelt my main rig, but the effort required is too much for me at the moment and the rig needs to be low maintenance.. Wanted to have a play with these bits before selling them on.

Lol, oops! Didnt notice who it was...

One thought I had to allow me to still have a simple waterloop was to have the pal8045 in the res, so that in effect its a waterchiller, on when I need it but can be off when I dont, so long as the loop has a rad somewhere. The 'Hot' loop would route to the loft so all the hot air is up out of the way.

Dont think so

Dont want to have to clean up the mess afterwards, and if I was to do it it would need insulating properly.. too much hassle for me at the mo..

May give it a go on my mx4000, too much of a wuss to chuck it on my brand new x1900xt
