Playing wmv files with DRM on a Mac?

Any ideas for a workround (excluding buy a PC)?

WMP OS X might work but I think the support for DRM and Windows Media 10 files is pretty weak.

The best way of playing WMP on Mac is Flip4Mac, but it doesn't support DRM at all.

Your probably going to have to get a PC. No jokes I'm afraid

What about a Mac based VM program? 100x cheaper than getting a brand new PC.

You sure it wont just work? Never had any problems with file types, except ones with daft codecs

The file is a video (wmv) with DRM. I'll take it my friend's to try but was hoping for some prior info to avoid disappointment. Thanks.

Probably not.
VLC for Windows wont play DRM files properly, so i cant see the Mac version doing any different.

Considering VirtualPC with Windows XP Home costs £199, you're a bit off with the 100x figure.

You won't be playing WMV9 DRM protected videos on a Mac any time soon.

Although he really only needs a basic one for music & video playback, unless its HiDef stuff.
