PlayStation 1 black borders

Hello,

I'm getting black borders whenever I use the PlayStation 1 or 2 on both the top and bottom, left and right, even on my 4:3 TV, as you can see in the pictures below:

I'm using an upscaler by Kaico and the same result happens on other LCD monitors also. If I use the RCA cable, it's less notable but it still has borders on all sides.

Is there a way to eliminate this?

I think there used to be a setting on TVs called overscan. Try enabling that. It's normally on LCDs, I'm assuming your 4:3 is an LCD not crt.
