Hi guys,

I've got an old Play.com Playstation 2 controller to usb adapter which doesn't work on 64bit os's as a driver was never released for it. Does anyone know if there are ANY ps2 -> USB adapters out there which work with win7 64bit?

why not just buy a dualshock 3 controller from the bay, theyre roughly a tenner and would do the job. There's drivers out which will work on a 64bit OS. Cant for the life of me remember the name but someone on here will know.

I have the same adaptor from play, I think I could get the drivers to work but not for it to work in games for some reason.

Not forgetting button mapping, turbo auto-fire options, pressure buttons, peripheral selection (Dance mat etc) etc as well. ;)

Sounds awesome! I have an EMS adaptor for PS2 pads but that doesn't support the pressure sensitive buttons. Hmmm wonder if the superjoy drivers will work with my adaptor...

I have been using a ps2 pad with the usb dongle for a while now. I have played the games on the ps2 emulator on my pc and have tuned it to run dirt 2 as well on the pc. Worked perfectly on vistax64 and now on win7x64. No software was needed.

Edit: i got my converter for £6.

a lot easier to just use a xbox360 pad, one of the best things iv bought for my PC :D

Yes but then there is a choice for certain games or emulators where the PlayStation pad feels more natural. Then there is also the fact that some people don't want to buy another controller and would rather use an existing one.

Agreed. But to answer OP - I use play.coms usb asapter in 64-bit win 7 without a problem....

this one?

I've got an xbox 360 pad as well, which is really useful for its analogue shoulder buttons in things like Grid etc... but for pro evo the psII pad is better because of the lack of analogue shoulder button and the D-pad is better, plus i've got 2 PSII pads so i can have some multiplayer fun!
