It's for the girlfriend...(yeah yeah :p)..

Well we've played a dance game in the arcades a few times, and she wants to get one for my ps2.

Any recommendations? And are there some that allow you to obtain more music?

I think you'll find with the games on PS2 is that they all have a selection of very good and very bad, none that I played I would say are consistently good sadly.

Your best bet is looking on Wikipedia at track listings and choosing from there. As for obtaining more, no.

However you could get a PS2 to USB convertor, a dance mat and Stepmania for the PC.

I would also recommend downloading Stepmania for the PC. You head over to http://www.ddruk.com/ and download all the music tracks you like to add to Stepmania.

As for the mat, nothing beats the arcade pads but it depends how much money your looking to spend. If you get a cheap plastic one, get some velcro as well because they always move around the floor.

i beleive the most popular franchise is Dance dance revolution, which is known as dancing stage over here.

just did a quick search and the latest one is called dancing stage supernova, then max, then fusion, then megamix i think...

i guess your best bet is to look at which has the best tracklist though i doubt there will be many licensed tracks and will be mostly their own stuff so it might be better just to get the latest one

You can buy a high quality arcade standard mat. It used to be £100 many years ago, I assume it's less now.
