Hey guys this thread does not have anything to with pc hardware but can you try and help me.
I has a ps2 and it works with 8.5 V DC at 5.65 A. A cars battery has an output of 12V. Do you know of something like a resistor or anything else so I can lower the voltage to 8.5V. I don't want to use and converter from dc to ac.
I tried to plug it in and it worked with 12V but I think I'm doing something wrong

Pls help

If you dont get a reply in here, you might want to try the "Console Games & Hardware" section as I am sure there must be some one in there who has connected a ps2 to a car before!

In case someone else comes across this. Don't do this. Running at higher voltage than expected kills components. Laptops run with a higher voltage adapter than stock need new motherboards after a little while. Consoles are going to be just as intolerent, that it doesn't die immediately does not mean it's not killing your hardware.
