Playstation 3 Controller Keyboard Priced and Dated

I know the position makes it look awkward, but I can see it working OK.
The only minor inconvenience is if you are having to move quickly between controller and thumb pad, it's a bit of a hindrance, but it isn't the end of the world.

I used my Logitech Dinovo Mini when I had my PS3, and although I had to keep picking it up/putting it down, it never bothers me any more then using the 360 chat pad.

I buckled and ordered one. They are only £22 delivered and I had £4 credit on their site as well.

See if it is any good to control on Mac as well. Should be here tomorrow.

You can pick it up for £17.99 delivered from a v popular online retailer, although the wait might a little longer.

rp, has yours been shipped yet? They say if you order before 5.30pm it gets sent the same day but I haven't had a text or email yet.

I ordered from them this afternoon, didn't get an email or text but the web site says it has been dispatched. We'll see what turns up tomorrow.

It arrived.

Connects via bluetooth to my Laptop and works as a keyboard and mouse!!!

So basically a wireless keyboard and mouse as well as a PS3 keypad and mouse.

Bargain tbh. This is why I think Bluetooth is such a good choiec, products cost more, but have much more usage potential in other devices.

Well impressed, and I have not even plugged it into PS3 yet!

Got mine as well, really neat little gadget. The only thing I would say to watch out for if your buying this with intent on using it with other devices is that the clip on the bottom that goes around the controller feels a bit flexible and may accidentally be snapped off if your not carefull.

hi guys, just got mine but think its broken.

In touchpad mode does it seem to erractically move the XMB or the cursor in the browser when your not near the keypad?

Anyone? ^^^

Its shockingly sensitive and the touch pad doesnt extend to cover the whole browser page - also seems to rely on relative distances (like a laptop touchpad) but its so awkward to move the cursor when you want it...

Its like its getting interference - but cant see how thats happening as none of the other BT PS3 stuff has been affected...

Ain't used it in browser, but manual says you must calibrate touchpad. I think you are expecting too much for the motion to be as smooth as a normal mouse tbh.

Hmm might try and do that again - not expecting mouse quality movement - but it moves in any direction by a few cms without any input (like its jiggling) - impossible to leave it on or use it as a pad as when you lift off with your finger to move again it moves somewhere else erractically...

Hoping it just didnt calibrate right ...

I just calibrated mine (hold both the red and blue shoulder buttons for over 2 secs, whilst in touch pad mode, until lights blink.)

My homepage on PS3 browser is BBC news. The cursor does not move on its own, and if I move my fingers slowly I can distinctly highlight each of the "Top Stories" links in the top right of the homepage. (i.e. make their target appear in the status bar). When I lift my finger off the touchpad to click the mouse, it stays in the right place. A few times it does move, but so little it still has the same hyperlink highlighted so when I click I go to the right page.

I think if you move the cursor slowly you will be OK. The acceleration sensitivity seems a bit high to me, for a device with such a small area to move your fingers.

I suspect you have never used a trackball mouse before, as the behaviour you describe is exactly how I felt using a trackball for 1st time, till I started to be gentle with it :) Either that or our expectations are different, you have mutant fingers, I have mutant fingers, or you got a broken unit :)

Unfortunately mine just doesnt do that - I could be in the next room and its happy going up and down my XMB quite merrily. I havent used a trackball since RM/Archmedies days, but Im aware that it shouldnt be doing whats its doing - will have to try the calibrate once I get a chance to get my mates off the PS3...

Maybe I need Ghostbusters to get rid of Rentaghost? :p

P.S. Sorry about skipping out on Res2 earlier - friends came around earlier than expected :

Cheers for the help :)
