Playstation 3 games with AA

I played it last week - didn't notice anything myself. Like I said earlier - it may be down to your setup.

My setup?

As in my setup that's totally fine with most other games?

The Darkness on the PS3 is about as jaggy as a Wii game on the same screen.

Not criticising, just adding my 2 penneth to the thread as it seemed relevant.

Thats fine if your setup is ok. It seems it is the game afterall - I was just offering a possible explanation :D

Don't worry wwwebber, you get used to people jumping down your throat after a while. :p
I played the Darkness demo (a few minutes) but I did not notice those jaggies as in the pic so I am beginning to think it might be related to what LCD/CRT you play the game on, can that make a big difference regarding the jaggies?

the ps3 game looks a lot better on rgb sdtv then it does on the 1080p monitor.

almost as if the game is always running at 576p and the ps3 is just upscaling to whatever you set, so the jaggies get bigger ;) not noticable on the sdtv at all.

Strange then that I did not really notice the jaggies on my 40" 1080p LCD

I was prolly annoyed about having to aim with a controller instead of a mouse that I wasn't looking at jaggies.

If you think too much about AA/AF/HDR etc. whilst playing a game, then I'd say the game isn't doing its job. I've just finished F.E.A.R. on the 360 and whilst that jaggies all over the shop, the game was exciting and immersive enough that I was sucked in and forgot all about aesthetics.

I've played on 2 screens and I believe both JUMPURS and KNiVES use further different screens and all have commented on the terrible graphics.

We are also talking the same 2 screens I complete The Darkness on on the Xbox360 without any where near the sub-standard of graphics on the Playstation3 version.

In that case it is deffo related to the game, most likely a sloppy port (as usual :( )
