Playstation 3 or Wii

the systems are so different it hard to say

i own both,
they are very different, ps3 has sooo much more potenital, however if u are not a serious gamer the wii is loads of fun aslong as there are 2 of u playing,

when mario kart comes out it will rock, ps3 is better for my needs tho, this site is mostly based on opinions so each to there own :)

Wii generally lacks after a short period of time, dont really play it by myself! Only really good when youre bladded with mates. If youre SP kinda person probably better off with a PS3.

Not long from NOW BD Players will be about £100 for a decent one, unless you are really hyped on getting one. I would recommend the Wii simply because you like casual games and their will be some good games coming to it.

PS3 will have its titles but so will the Wii. what i would recommend is seeing if you like playing on it at a friends.

Thanks for the opinions.

So if I was to buy a Wii for one player, would that just be seen as a bit pointless?

Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda: TP, new Wii Zelda, mario sunshine, pikmin 3, zak and wiki, advance wars, smash bros, trauma centre, fire emblem and super paper mario leads me to say no.

+1, plus a load of games coming to it soon.

Its a great console for 1 player games. very easy to pick up as well, took me a while to get used to using analogue gaming again since i never played an analogue game of my own since the N64 games.

+2.

I'm sure that a lot of people (not all, the Wii isn't everyone's cuppa) dismiss the Wii as a MP console because of the initial shortage of decent SP games, yet I've found myself more than enough to play. If you've got an Xbox 360 already, I think the Wii would complement it perfectly as you'd get a good variety of excellent single player games and fantastic multiplayer games that literally anyone can play.

I was playing the mario sunshine level on brawl earlier and it confused me :p

Yep. The 360 for when you're acting like a child and want to play "grown up" games and the Wii for when you're acting like an adult and want to play fun games :)
