My brother is returning for Japan on Tuesady , he has asked me if i wanna PS3-Jap version , is it work getting 1 ?

Can i still play US & UK games on PS3

Can i also change text on PS3 to english

Currently all ps3 games are region free, though that may change in the future, and yes you can set the language to english

In what way?

Only the Region Codes of the DVD's and games might cause a problem but you can buy any PS3 game from any region and play on any console ;)
 
I've not seen any official blurb but there are murmurings that the console has the ability to censor blood and guts and things like that.
 
Considering some of the sick crap thats available in japan im suprised that blood in a game is a topic of censorship. :confused:

Find it even weirder that the games themselves are not the cause of the censorship but japanese console are slightly diffrent from us console and can presumably be updated to not allow the full effect of certain games. :mad:

Wish id known this before i ordered a japanese console, arriving tomorrow. :mad:

has to be some kinda future mod to disable this crap.

Take a look over at avforums, loads of people have confirmed the consoles censor the games and sadly the jpn model more so
 
Doesn't make much sense to me, this is the first time ive heard of games in japan having censored content. Already knew germany had it but japan?

Be very suprised if some kinda mods not available to fool the console into thinking its american, this censorship crap just brings back memories of MK on the snes before nintendo removed their heads from their arses and allowed it in for mk2 etc.

Id prefer some kind of permanent fix though instead of trying to find a save file for every game thats been censored.

This has always been the case in Japan I have read, so yes we over here are going to be ok and get fully uncensored version (well depending on what the classification board say of course)
