Hi,

Got a Playstation Move for Christmas and it came with the eye camera, ONLY one controller and the Sports Champions game.

It seems pretty limited to only have one Move Controller.

Since Sports Champions is my only game thus far, what am I better doing? Buying a new Move Controller or buying one of those other Move Sub Controllers. Does the sub move controller contain motion tracking too?

What exactly is the sub controller going to be good for? Is it an essential? or am I better off investing in just another Move Controller? I am a little confused on that aspect?

Get another move controller is my advice but don't get another navigation one just yet until games start needing 2.

I wouldn't bother with the Sub/Navigation controller unless you want to use it with proper games like Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, MAG, Heavy Rain etc that has Move support. You can just use your standard PS3 wireless controller as that is what the Navigation controller basically is (Left-side of the standard pad).

So as above, I'd recommend getting another Move motion controller.

Sport Champions is better with 2 move controllers (especially Gladiator Duel), plus you can play two player games like Tabble Tennis.

As already mentioned the Nav controller isn't essential as you can just use the standard controller.

I second this. Gladiator is so much better with two controllers.

A second move controller is also very handy if you have different height players. My three year old really enjoys bocce. If she uses the same controller that is mapped to my height then she simply can not play. Mapping her own and she actually sometimes beats me :p

Nav controller will be good in a few months time when Socom 2 and killzone 3 come out.

Was playing the Kung Fu demo, and it didn't seem to allow me to move up and down the menu using a DS3. I'm guessing the sub-controller is a must for this game?

The sub-controller is just half a DS3, and I don't know of any games that specifically require the sub-controller. If using the controller is how you navigate in the menu's for that game then it should work the same with both (are you sure your not mean't to use the move while holding the trigger to navigate the menu?).

Perhaps then a patch is required for the Kung Fu Rider demo, since the DS3, even as active wasn't moving any of the menu's, with either the d-pad or the analogue stick.

The menu shows up and down, but the move controller has no way, nor was the DS3 responsive. But the PS3 button worked on the DS3.

Who knows.

I don't have Kung Fu Rider but usually you have to hold the T button on the move controller to navigate menu's or the XMB.

As phatjay suggested the subcontroller is going to be needed for games that need an element of navigation, as well as screen movement (aiming) like first person shooters. There are even nice little assault rifles appearing on the market that accept a Move controller in the 'barrel' and a sub controller in the pistol grip.. :D

You hold the trigger on the Move controller then move it up or down to navigate the menu.
