Playstation now UK BETA

I was fortunate to be invited onto the PlayStation NOW BETA and so far it's playing really well.

Just wondering if anyone else here is on this and what they think ? The beta library isn't all that great at the moment but gameplay is smoother than I expected.

Yeah quite a few people have been testing it (see the PS4 thread), I've found it fairly impressive, one thing I need to do is get my PS3 back from my dad so I can try uploading some save files to the online storage and see if you can then use them in game via PSNow.

Has anyone already tried and managed to use old save game files?

I will certainly be interested in the service for some PS3 games I missed if the quality is as good as this or better.

Does anybody else have issues with using the touch pad for start and select? It doesn't work for me at all.

I have what i think is average ADSL of 7mb down and just under 1 up, and tells me i don't have a good enough connection

I wish it had let me know that before then i coulda gave my mate my code

That seems a bit odd. You should only need 3.5Mbps tops for a 720p stream. You weren't downloading something at the same time were you.

OK I got the invite a few days ago and tried to join up yesterday but the email link itself just wont work. Even trying to view a website copy of the email doesnt seem to work. Was there a time limit how quickly you had to sign up?!?

I've just got in. My daughter has been playing Lego Batman 2, i havent seen any problems with it yet. Streaming seems to be working ok, even during peak times on VM. Not sure what else i can post due to NDA and me not reading it.

Played SF4, its ok. Takes one second to respond to my moves, so it was difficult to pull off supers.

Still prefer to play my retail copy off the disc.

I can't remember if I actually tried to sign up for it. It does sound like something I'd want to try though so I guess I just didn't get selected

They add people all the time. I only got the confirmation email a few days ago so i wasn't in the first batch to be accepted. I'm guessing they'll need to stress test their network so will add people as time goes on.

They need to sort their pricing strategy on this as it's ridiculous, why would you rent an old PS3 game for 30 days at a premium price and then have to pay again when the 30 days expires. Just madness, if you want to own and play the game for any length of time it would cost a fortune for a last gen game?!?

Agreed , I think it's currently testng but if this is truly the UK prices then it will simply be a huge failure as its prices are just beyond ludicrous..

I think in the states its got a subscribe option but I also think that is quite expensive..
